Sometimes, if one wants to see a light at it's brightest, one can sit in a dark room before taking in the light.

The brightness is blinding. People can be amazing. I've recently lost a tendancy to assume a worst case senario and rather to look for the best - sitting in a dark might help find the brighter lights.
